| Hey everybody! So I havent been on here in a long time. I'm not even sure if anyone has kept on checking this. A lot of things have happened recently. First of all, in about 18 more days I will be married to Katie and on a cruise ship! That is the most exciting thing at the moment. Secondly, I now have a job after I graduate! I will be working for the Southwest Church of Christ as their youth minister. It is on the outskirts of Richmond, VA. I'm excited about it and the teens are wonderful. I will deeply miss Carbondale and their teens but this was a joint desicion between Katie and I. We felt this was what God was leading us towards. The church will also allow us to go to Greece in the Fall. We are still discussing whether or not we will still go. It is very hard desicion to make. Please pray for us in this area. We feel it is a gift from God and are not sure what to choose. Other than these happenings, I am stressed about my Greek final. It is going to be tough and tho I have studied a lot for it, I feel like I will never be prepared. Anyway, I hope all of you are doing well and will have a wonderful Christmas. | | |
| Hey everyone! Well, I've been truckin' away here in Carbondale, IL for the past two weeks. It's been great being back with everyone here. I feel like I'm back at home in a way. Everyone is wonderful. Katie is currently hashing out wedding details and I am trying to imput what I can when I can. My birthday was yesterday and though I wasn't with my family, I celebrated it with a long well deserved nap :). Last week our church went on mission trip to Pass Christian, Mississippi. The coast is still ravaged and needs so much help. It was shocking to still be able to see piles of debri and destruction! I am really wanting to get another group to go back down and help. If you are from Harding and would be interested in this let me know. I'm looking at either over Thanksgiving or sometime over the first part of Christmas break. Please don't forget about those on the coast. It's nine months into it and now is when depression, loss of hope, and despiration set in. May God bless each one of you and be with you in everything! | | |
| Hey everyone! Well...MERRY CHRISTMAS! As Christmas break is trucking along I am faced with new challenges that come along with engagement. Things are going well but there is a lot of things to think about for the future. We have descided that the wedding will eather be on the 29th or 30th of December of 2006! I hope all of you can make it. It will be at her home town (Houston) so it's good that everyone has a year to prepare for it. I am so in love with her and excited to be with her for the rest of my life. She is a wonderful Christian influence on me and everyone who surrounds her. Anyway, I have been working for the most part of the break and will continue to until I trek down to Houston. My grandma has made a lot of good food and it has been a blast to hang out with my family and friends. Osaro is coming back home with me for a day before we go to Harding again. He will be in Houston about the same time that I will be. Anyway, I don't have much more news so I will write more later. Oh, please continue to pray for Katie and I, the possibility of Greece, and the lost ones. Also think of something good about today and thank God for it off and on! God be with you and bless you richly. | | |
| Whew! Man, it's been a long time since I have updated. It seems like eternity. Well, school is going great but at so fast of a pace it is hard to keep up sometimes. Seven classes was definitly not a good choice but I believe I will come out with A's and B's. I hope all of you had a wonderful thanksgiving! Mine was great. I hung out with my family and got to make some cash also. Having Katie there would have made it better though. So I keep finding out these things I have to do next week and it's driving me nuts (but in a good way). I will visit Dr. Neller's house twice, see him again the following Wed night (possibly), have to make up a test, turn in a project, study for finals, move out of my room, move into my new room, and be trained as an RA. Peace ya'll. | | |
